One reason that many parents like the idea of a trailer is that they are designed in such a way as to prevent the structure from rolling over, even if you do end up upsetting your bike. You can choose from a two-wheel or a one-wheel set up, with more wheels providing more stability. You will find that the width of the bike trailer will also reinforce the stability as well as force cars to give you a wider berth.

There are many advantages to having a bike trailer. You will find that many trailers will come equipped to take care of two children, something that a bike seat can't do, and that there is an increase in the stability of the arrangement, particularly if you are a little paranoid about your skill as a cyclists. Some bike trailers come with third wheels that let you convert them to strollers. You will also find that the canopy over many baby bike trailers can handily protect your tot from rain.

There are a variety of natural cures and creams available for you to try. Your doctor can help you to determine the treatment and cure.

There are many myths and facts surrounding strawberry hemangiomas on infants but they are commonly known as vascular birthmarks that are usually benign in nature. They are often a very small bright red spot that are usually small, compressible and characterized by well defined borders. They are made up of a dense group of dilated (widened) blood vessels that appear on the skin of infants as a reddish-blue spongy mass. The myths and facts surrounding strawberry hemangiomas are far ranging in their scope and also in their believability. The truth of the matter is much more realistic:

• Strawberry Hemangiomas normally occur on the face, chest, back and scalp.
• They may be present at the birth of an infant but are more commonly seen during the first or second month.
• Approximately 3 percent of children are born with strawberry hemangiomas.
• Rarely, less than 1% of hemangiomas, can be present on internal organs as the spleen, pancreas or liver and can have life threatening complications.
• Most of the time they are only cosmetic and are entirely harmless to your infant.

I am quite sure that the appearance of your baby is quite important to you and the presence of a hemangioma can be sometimes quite distressing. Seeing the evidence of these cases will certainly ease your mind. There is nothing like seeing with your own eyes the photos of cases that resolved themselves on their own.

Imagine you wake up in the middle of the night to your child moaning uncomfortably and shivering uncontrollably. You place your hand on their forehead and realize they are burning up. All you want to know is how high the temperature is. Seems like a simple task until you reach into your medicine drawer only to find a myriad of devices that you have bought or friends have given you. There you find a digital rectal, oral, pacifier, axillary, forehead scanning and ear thermometer. And deep in the back of the draw you pull out an old glass mercury thermometer left over from your childhood. Now you are sweating and wondering what to use.

As a pediatrician, parents commonly ask me questions about fever. As a new father, I understand that when your child is sick and has a fever, it can be one of the most concerning and frightening situations that you encounter. Fever is defined as any temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Although taking a temperature may appear to be a mundane task, the location at which the temperature is taken as well as the accuracy of the thermometer is very important.

For example, the difference between 100.3 and 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit in a child under two months of age may be the difference between seeing your doctor in the office or going emergently to the hospital for a battery of unpleasant tests. As a result, infants under two to three months of age should always use a rectal thermometer. Rectal temperatures are the most accurate. After two to three months of age you can take your child's temperature using an axillary (underarm) thermometer and then by five years of age your child should be able to use an oral thermometer. Unfortunately, technology has yielded us a slew of choices when it comes to taking a child's temperature, making this process very confusing.

As a result, I have compiled the five best of the best and the five best of the rest thermometers to use in children. As you will see the price of the thermometer does not necessarily indicate the usefulness of it. In fact, I recommend steering clear of ear thermometers because they are both expensive and tend to be inaccurate at any age. Furthermore, properly dispose of your old glass mercury thermometers due to the toxic risks of mercury. Stick to your run-of-the-mill digital rectal, axillary, or oral thermometers to get you safely through the night.

The Kelty FC 1.0 child carrier is a great carrier for shorter hikes out on the path. It is also wonderful for strolls around town weighting only 6lbs. With the five point adjustable childs harness the ability to adjust for you child is done at ease. There is also a torso length adjustment to fit any adult with comfort and proper weight distribution. The kickstand is a must any hiking carrier and works well.

The storage on this carrier is adequate for around town and hiking. It has a front storage pouch and a waist belt storage pocket. Has plenty of storage space for baby supplies, snacks, and water bottle. There are four colors black, green, blue, and curry.

This Kelty backpack carrier is wonderful for hiking and outdoor adventures. The storage has been added to as will as well as the addition of toy loops. You and your child could spend hours in this well padded and vented infant carrier. The carrier is removable and washable.

The added storage consists of under seat storage and a zip of diaper bag. Enough storage for lunch and all of your baby's needs. There is a sun hood that you can buy separately for this carrier but make sure you purchase the FC not the TC. Some get confused and buy the wrong one.
